Better safe than sorry

After the summer break, Formula 1 returned a few days ago with the Belgian Grand Prix. The Belgian government had approved the organization of the 2021 Belgian Grand Prix with the possibility of receiving 75,000 spectators per day.

However, the reception of spectators at the circuit site was subject to the condition that they could show the Covid Safe ticket upon arrival at the site. Which required, among other things, the condition of full vaccination or proof of a negative PCR test performed no earlier than 48 hours before the day of event participation or possession of proof of a negative antigen test, performed and issued by medical professionals of an official testing center, performed no earlier than 24 hours before the day of event participation or proof of recovery from COVID-19 (valid from ten days after the positive PCR test and for a period of 180 days).

To create an on-site testing infrastructure for visitors, drivers, crew and service providers, a number of mobile testing sites were set up on the Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps site and supplemented with one of the most advanced mobile PCR laboratories in Europe, CoviMedical's Mobilab V2.0.

With a capacity of 8,000 tests within 24 hours and a turnaround time of less than 60 minutes from sample collection to result, it is one of the most powerful of its kind. Results are transmitted digitally in real time, and placement requires only a 40-square-meter asphalt surface and a 32-amp electrical connection.

Thanks to our long history in the field of events, logistics and organization, fresh ideas and digital processes, we have established ourselves as on of the leading providers in the field of Corona prevention right from the start of the pandemic and continue to expand our services and locations. With more than 3.5 million tests performed, over 200 locations in Germany and Spain, and more than 1,400 employees, we are the reliable partner in corona prevention

We offer agile, flexible and, above all, reliable complete solutions to realize gatherings of any kind and size in public Covid-19 -compliant and safe.  Our Mobile PCR Laboratory is designed to be self-sufficient and can be used not only as a supplement, but stand-alone from smear to result transmission.

We are happy to have experienced such a glorious maiden voyage in Belgium and look forward to many more projects in and around Germany.
